The Future of Competition on the Internet
0 Comments Published by IdeaTagging.com August 27th, 2007 in General Posts, BlogAs more and more startups launch on an advertising-only revenue model (i.e. offer products/services for free to generate traffic and make money from ads), an idea occurs to me of how competition might evolve in the wonderful world of the Internet over the next few years.

Spigit - I Finally Get It
2 Comments Published by IdeaTagging.com August 25th, 2007 in General Posts, BlogOver the last month or so I have come across Spigit (a startup for startups) a few times. 0 Comments Published by IdeaTagging.com August 4th, 2007 in BlogIt is a worrying trend in the wonderful world of Web 2.0 that web businesses are increasingly fixated on growing user numbers, almost as though that were a goal in itself.
You would think it was obvious that making money is the goal and that whether you make this money by charging a fee to a few […]
This doesn’t appear to have been reported widely in the blogosphere but ads are apparently being pulled from Facebook by some high-profile advertisers, including AA, First Direct and Vodafone, because their ads were being displayed on the Facebook group profile of the British National Party (BNP) - a controversial far-right party in the United Kingdom.
